ShiftSlate is built with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. All information stays on your device.

1. Overview

ShiftSlate ("the App") is developed and published by After Video Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms.

We believe your business data belongs to you and only you. ShiftSlate was intentionally designed as an offline-first application to ensure your data never leaves your control.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

ShiftSlate does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Personal identification information (names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers)
Employee data you enter into the app
Schedule, shift, or calendar information
Financial data including wages, tips, expenses, or labor costs
Task lists, logbook entries, or notes
Location or GPS data
Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs

3. Data Storage

All data you enter into ShiftSlate is stored locally on your device using SQLite, a local database engine. This means:

Your data exists only on your device
No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers
No account creation or sign-in is required to use the app
No internet connection is required for the app to function

4. Cloud Backup (Pro Feature)

ShiftSlate Pro offers an optional cloud backup and restore feature. When you choose to use this feature:

Backups are initiated manually by you
Backup data is encrypted and stored securely
Only you can access and restore your backup data
We do not access, analyze, or share your backup data
You can delete your backup data at any time

5. In-App Purchases

ShiftSlate offers a 7-day free trial followed by a Pro subscription ($4.99/year) through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google, respectively. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information such as credit card numbers, billing addresses, or financial account details.

6. Third-Party Services

ShiftSlate does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party involvement is:

Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For app distribution and in-app purchase processing
Device Calendar (optional): If you enable calendar sync, shift data is written to your device's local calendar app. This is a local device-to-device operation and does not transmit data externally.

7. Data Export

ShiftSlate allows you to export your data via CSV and Excel files. These exports are generated locally on your device. How you share or store those exported files is entirely within your control and responsibility.

8. Children's Privacy

ShiftSlate is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
